HELP – How to Post, Repost and Edit Your Item(s)

1. Sell Multiple Items:

Question: How do I post using the “Sell Multiple Items” option?

Answer: Follow the instructions below:

Instructions:

(Sell Multiple Items) Go to the menu bar and select “Sell Multiple Items”:

ü  Click on “Sell New Collection”

ü  Type in a Title

ü  Upload an image under “Choose File” – click “save”

ü  Click “Mark Item”

ü  Select the individual image within your picture you would like to sell moving the “hotspot” dotted lines to encompass the item. You can increase the size of the box, but do not decrease it.

ü  Input the data in appropriate fields

ü  Repeat this process to “hotspot” other items within your picture

(Sell Multiple Items) How to add “hotspot” Items to Selling Queue – sell each individually:

ü  Click “Add Details” next to the “hotspot” you just created (hotspots are listed under your multiple item picture)

ü  Enter fields as required – a few tips below:

o   Select the category which would best summarize your hotspot item being sold

o   Select your listing type; Auction, Fixed Price or Classified

§  Auction selection; you will be asked the following questions later when setting up the details of your posting:

·         You will need to reflect a “starting bid” which will be where the auction will begin

·         You will need to reflect a “reserve” price which is the minimum you will accept for this item (higher than your “starting bid”)

·         You will need to reflect a “buy now” price which is what someone can pay you for the item and skip the auction process all together (higher than your “reserve” price).

·         Only single items can be auctioned; if you have a quantity of greater than “1” then you should post your item as a “fixed” priced item.

§  Fixed Price selection; this is one price you want to receive from the sale of your item

§  Classified; this is more of an “ad” – a communication if you will

o   Select the Region reflecting your location

o   Select the state reflecting your location; or select the country of your location if located outside of the United States

o   Select additional detail to describe your location – closest city

ü  The “title” is pre-populated from your “hotspot” data

ü  Key in Subtitle – this can be used for additional clarification of the hotspot

ü  Your “hotspot” description will pre-populate. Feel free to add to this description to reflect any additional information to better describe the item such as size, color, age, etc; anything to help you sell the item.

ü  The price is pre-populated; however, you may change it at this time if you like. If you selected “auction” see above.

ü  This is pre-populated; however, you may change if you like.

ü  Images: Be sure to rotate all of your pictures before uploading so they are “right side up”. Your “hotspot” image will be pre-populated. If you would like to add additional images to zero in on the item then upload additional images.

o   The first image, the “hotspot” image of the individual item, will be the image reflected on the site to showcase the item; additional images you have uploaded will be available for viewing once the buyer clicks on your item to see the details.

o   If you would like to change the first image, replacing it with another image which you have uploaded, you may click in the middle of the picture you want to showcase your item and drag it to the first position. You may delete any picture by clicking the red “x”.

ü  Upload a YouTube Video if your item has sound or movement associated with it and/or if the item would be better represented with a 360 degree viewing. This section is optional.

ü  Select the Listing Options of your choice – you may select more than one.

ü  Select your Shipping Option.

o   Click on the drop-down box for your shipping Method

o   Key in the dollar amount you want the buyer to pay for shipping; if you have selected “Free Shipping”, “Pick-Up Only” and/or “Pick-Up Option” then type in “0”.

o   You may select more than one shipping option.

o   Click “Add”

ü  If you have indicated “Pick-Up Only” or “Pick-Up Option”, then key in additional details regarding the pick-up of the sold item, i.e., “contact seller” and/or more specific location such as the city of where the item is located.

ü  Select the Duration of time you would like your listing to run using the drop-down box.

ü  Click on “Create Listing & Back” – Your Listing of the first hotspot is complete

ü  You will be returned to your multiple items listing enabling you to complete details for the rest of your hotspots.

ü  Click on “Add / Edit Hot Spot Items” of the hot spot/picture you are posting.

ü  Click on “Add Details” of your next “hotspot” image as previously described

ü  Repeat this process for each hotspot within the picture you are selling

(Sell Multiple Items) Create Listing as a Combined Group: (Each hotspot still available to sell individually):

ü  You are not required to sell your hotspots as a combined group; however, if you chose to do so follow the directions below

ü  Just below your image you will find the red box by “Create Listing as a Combined Group” Click on this box

ü  Click on “OK” when asked if you’re sure

ü  Click on “OK” again when told you were successful

ü  Click on “Add Details”

ü  Click the category “Multiple Items Pictures”, next select “garage sale” if your picture reflects miscellaneous items or select “room” if your picture is better described to fit within a specific room.

ü  The description will not be pre-populated so you will need to reflect a description of the items you are selling within the picture as a combined group; one purchase.

ü  Select “fixed price” or “classified”. “Auction” is not available because your individual hotspot items may sell prior to the completion of the auction of your combined group listing.

ü  The price will be pre-populated and will equal the sum of your hotspots.

ü  Your quantity should reflect “1” because you are selling all items within the image as “1” combined posting. If you have multiple sets of your combined posting then reflect the number of sets you have available for sale.

ü  Continue to complete the detail and then select “Create Listing Back” when you are finished.

ü  You now have the ability to add a discount to your combined group listing – this is optional. Click on “add discount” and proceed accordingly.

ü  You are finished! Congratulations for a job well done!

2. Sell Single Item:

Question: How do I post using the “Sell Single Item” option?

Answer: Follow the instructions below:

(Sell Single Item) Go to the Home Page Menu Bar:

ü  Click on “Sell Single Item”

ü  Select the category which best describes your item for sale

ü  Select to sell your item via Auction, Fixed Price or Classified.

o   Auction selection; you will be asked the following questions later when setting up the details of your posting:

o   Pictures need to be 3(MB) or less.

o   The first image, uploaded will be the image reflected on the site to showcase the item; additional images you have uploaded will be available for viewing once the buyer clicks on your item to see the details.

o   If you would like to change the first image, replacing it with another image which you have uploaded, you may click in the middle of the picture you want to showcase your item and drag it to the first position. You may delete any picture by clicking the red “x”.

ü  Select the Duration of time you would like your listing to run using the drop-down box.

ü  Click on “Create Listing” – Your Listing of this item is complete

3. Activate/Repost Expired Single Item Listing(s):

Question: What do I do when I receive an email from SellBuyTheRoom indicating my item has ended without success?

Answer: When you receive this email sign-in to sellbuytheroom.com and activate your expired posting. You may do this through the “relist” feature or you may activate your previous listing with changes by selecting “list similar”. See step by step instructions for each below:

Go to the Home Page Menu Bar:

ü  Click on “My Account”

ü  Under the summary of your account go to “Listing” and click on “Unsuccessful”

ü  At this point you may either “Relist” your item or “List Similar” – summary of differences below:

o   Relist = click relist and your item will be listed with all the same features as the original posting; the same price, same images, same categories, same shipping, same duration, etc. (See Relist instructions below)

o   List Similar = click on List Similar and you have the flexibility to make changes to your original listing; all information areas will be pre-populated with information from the original listing so you can either leave as is or make changes. (See List Similar instructions below)

(Single Item) Relist Instructions:

ü  Click on “Relist”

ü  You’re finished relisting your item. If you have additional items to relist then…

ü  Go up to the menu bar and click on “My Account”

ü  Under the summary of your account go to “Listing” and click on “Unsuccessful”

ü  Go to your next unsuccessful item and repeat the process by clicking on “relist”

ü  Follow this process for as many items as you wish to relist

(Single Item) List Similar Instructions:

ü  Click on “List Similar”

ü  Check your listing and make any change you like.

ü  Click on “Create Listing”

ü  Go to the menu bar and click on “My Account”

ü  Under the summary of your account go to “Listing” and click on “Unsuccessful”

ü  Click on “Delete” next to the original listing which you just completed the “List Similar” process

ü  Click on “ok” if you really intend to delete this original listing replacing it with the “List Similar” listing you just completed

ü  Repeat this process to list the rest of you “unsuccessful” listings

4. Activate/Repost Expired Multiple Items Combined Group and HotSpots

Question: What do I do when I receive an email from SellBuyTheRoom indicating my item has ended without success and the item is a Multiple Items listing with HotSpots?

Answer: When you receive this email sign-in to sellbuytheroom.com and relist your posted item. In order to retain the connection between your multiple item picture and your hotspots you will need to select “relist” when activating your expired listing. You should not select “list similar” because you will lose the connection between your multiple item picture listing and associated hotspots. Please follow the directions below:

Go to the Home Page Menu Bar:

ü  Click on “My Account”

ü  Under the summary of your account go to “Listing” and click on “Unsuccessful”

ü  Once in “Unsuccessful” verify your combined group and all unsold hotspots have expired. (The only way your hotspots will automatically relist with the combined group is if they have already expired.)

ü  Once verified all of the multiple items (hotspots) have expired, then go to your expired “combined group listing first”

ü  Click on “Relist” on the combined group – DO NOT SELECT LIST SIMILIAR

ü  You are finished – your combined group and unsold individual hotspots have all been relisted.

ü  Congratulations for a job well done!

5. Edit Active Listings;

Question: Can I edit an active listing once it has been posted?

Answer: You are able to edit the Title, Subtitle, Description, Price, Quantity, Images, YouTube Video, Listing Options, Shipping, and Additional Details through the “edit” process. Please follow the process below:

ü  Click on “My Account”

ü  Under the summary go to “Listing” and click on “Active”

ü  Find the posting you would like to edit and click on “edit”

ü  Modify your listing accordingly

ü  Click on “save” and you’re finished!
