SellBUYtheroom.com originated in Knoxville, TN with its primary purpose to create an online solution to selling and buying items normally found at neighborhood garage sales, estate sales, consignment stores and local shops on a world-wide basis.

Utilizing our patent pending "Sell Multiple Items" feature, we have created a “user friendly” experience to allow for multiple items to be sold and/or purchased from one picture marked via “hotspots”. In addition to hotspots being individually available for purchase, the seller can also activate his/her listing to be available as a combined group - one purchase. The pricing of the combined group listing is automatically populated to equal the sum of the hotspots contained within the image. The seller has the option to discount the combined group listing price as desired. As hotspots sell the price of the combined group listing is systematically adjusted accordingly. We have integrated Social Media with the listings to give the seller a more pro-active marketing approach to listed items.

As a buyer, when viewing a multiple item listing which also has the option to purchase all hotspots as a combined group, you are able to toggle between individual items listed via hotspots and the multiple item listing combining all hotspots into one group listing. This streamlined approach is intended to assist buyers with their purchasing decisions.  

During the development stage of the site the primary purpose was expanded upon to also accommodate buying and selling single items – new or used in a fixed price or auction setting with an "Or Best Offer" (OBO) option available. Another feature added during the development stage is the functionality to post classified ads at the regional level.

SellBUYtheroom.com is utilizing a three phase start-up approach with each phase delivering additional functionality to the site over the next 18 months – through June, 2013. Dependent upon user demand and feedback, those phases may be accelerated according to business need.
